Benny Backx
Mr. Benny Backx studied Law at KU Leuven, and became a lawyer at the Turnhout Bar in 1995. He joined our firm on 1 July 2023.
Mr. Backx completed his traineeship at a well-known law firm in Turnhout, where he continued to work as an associate for several years. Meanwhile, he also obtained a special degree in company law (KU Leuven - KU Brussel).
In 2002, Benny Backx started his own office in Turnhout. In 2013-2014, he attended the postgraduate training programme Trustee - Liquidator. Since 2016, he has been a trustee at the Commercial Court of Antwerp, Turnhout division. Besides settling bankruptcies, he is also assigned assignments as provisional administrator and liquidator.
Ever since his student years, Benny Backx has focused exclusively on corporate law, and in particular company law, IT law, intellectual rights and insolvency law.
He is a member of BMM (Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law), ECTA (European Communities Trade Mark Association) and INTA (International Trademark Association).
Mr. Backx was a board member of a professional theatre company and VOKA Kempen for many years. He also is chairman of the Internal Appeal Committee of a school community in the Kempen region.
