Cindy Cornelis
Dr. Cindy Cornelis joined the Antwerp Bar and our firm in October 2023. She focuses on private construction law in the broad sense.
Besides private construction law, she has a special interest in insurance law, contract law and (extra)contractual liability law.
Mr. Cornelis obtained her Master of Laws with distinction from the University of Antwerp in June 2016. During her master years, she chose to major in corporate law and minor in civil law.
Afterwards, she started a PhD track at the University of Antwerp in the Antwerp Health Law and Ethics Chair (AHLEC) under the promotership of Prof. Dr. Thierry Vansweevelt. In October 2021, Cindy Cornelis obtained her Doctoral Law Degree on the thesis ‘Genetic data in insurance’.
She was laureate of the biennial André Prims Prize 2020-2021.
Cindy Cornelis has been a member of the Bar since 2021. Over a period of two years, she gained experience in a firm specialising in health law in the broad sense of the word.
Cindy Cornelis is also the author of numerous academic publications and is regularly invited as a speaker at seminars.
