Els Zegers joined Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers in 2016. Her profile immediately turned out to be a match for our firm: on the one hand from her law degree with a major in public law, on the other hand from her practical experience in labour law. Within our firm, Els is therefore mainly active within the fields of public procurement and labour law.
For example, Els often works closely with architects on public procurement and assists public authorities and works contractors, both in terms of awarding and executing public contracts. She likes to share her knowledge in this area through her participation in various publications and training courses (e.g. from Formado).
As mentioned above, Els is also very active in labour law, supporting the field of corporate law. Els mainly assists employers - from SMEs to international players - with advice and assistance in disputes in matters of both individual and collective labour law.
The past eight years at Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven for Els Zegers? She has always found the close collaboration with the two founding partners, Kristiaan Caluwaerts and Kristof Uytterhoeven, to be a fantastic learning experience and a great start-up for the rest of her career.
Els is therefore grateful for the opportunities she has received in recent years:
Even today, this close collaboration continues successfully. Els is now keen - as lead lawyer - to share her acquired knowledge with the younger generation of lawyers at Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven. She finds it an asset that there is smooth interaction between the various partners and associates, each specialised in their own field. In this way, the firm has the necessary in-house knowledge to assist its clients optimally.
Els also greatly appreciates that the personality and individuality of each employee are valued and supported. She also greatly appreciates the support of the friendly back office.
Els therefore looks enthusiastically to the future at Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven. In the meantime, she is completely settled in the new building, where she enjoys using the fully equipped gym and regularly puts on her boxing gloves.
We are delighted that Els is continuing her collaboration with Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers as lead lawyer!
